SF Ballet’s 80th season continues with two mixed-bill programs designed to showcase the extraordinary range of our dancers and musicians.
Travel to an opulent Byzantine palace in Rudolf Nureyev’s sparkling classic, Raymonda Act III. Experience Val Caniparoli’s dramatic Ibsen’s House, inspired by the works of playwright Henrik Ibsen. Then, relish in the elegant beauty of Edwaard Liang’s Symphonic Dances.
Journey to the dark underworld of Dante’s Inferno in Yuri Possokhov’s gripping Francesca da Rimini, set to a score by Tchaikovsky. Plus, Helgi Tomasson’s ingenious Criss-Cross and Balanchine’s iconic Symphony in Three Movements, a large-scale work set to the music of Stravinsky.
