The museum, located on the fourth floor, documents the lives, work and achievements of Russian émigrés in the west. It is of particular interest to Russian historians since there are many documents and historical artifacts that would have otherwise destroyed by the communists during and after the Russian Revolution of 1917, included are the archives of the Tsarist Russian Consulate in China. The purpose of the museum is to preserve the memory of those Russian-Americans who added not only to the émigré culture, but also the culture at large and to the world.
